Lost Lately

taken:
day eighty four
09.12.2013

I'm feeling lost lately.
Finding the words for this blog, it's difficult sometimes.
I get stuck and then I struggle.
Photography is a cinch.
I've found my confidence there.
But words, they don't always come very easily.
My shyness is hard to conceal at times.
However I do enjoy the challenge and hope that along with the struggle will come strength.

Here's a shy little petunia growing in a flowerpot on my front porch.

Petals Like Chiffon

taken:
day eighty two

Cosmos.
Late summer is brimming with these delicate blooms.
So airy and soft.
Petals like chiffon.
Flowing, swaying with the breeze.
A flower with a tender spirit.

A simple sunflower.
You can always count on a sunflower to make your day.
There's just that something special about a sunflower that bestows cheer.
How lucky one is to come face to face with a sunflower.

Anticipation

taken:
day forty six
08.05.2013

The zinnias that I planted from seed this spring are just starting to open. The buds look so interesting just before it's petals slowly uncurl, full of possibility and anticipation. I can't wait to see this one in full color once it's completely revealed.
